AnnotationRansackers is a new residential project for students aged 55+ who spend a term living at Ruskin College Oxford (Plater College Oxford and Hillcroft College, Surbiton are also involved) writing a research project. The concept began to be formalised at the July 2000 Conference of Better Government for Older People (BGOP). This report uses material from a range of sources to describe the background of some of the Ransackers, their learning experiences, the transformatory factors of the residential setting, and the gerontological issues they discover in the course of their studies and research.
