Annotation | The number of older people in hospital is increasing in line with an ageing population. In response, specialist teams have been established to review and enhance the provision of all aspects of care for older patients. This article reports on a project at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust which explored how providing a choice of what to wear in hospital can enhance older patients' overall well-being. Surveys were conducted with patients and staff regarding views on patients' daywear preferences, and taking account of cultural beliefs. (RH). |
