AnnotationRecent policy developments highlight the importance of a more "person-centred" approach within community care services. Within this framework, however, little attention has been given to the role played by frontline workers in delivering on these policy imperatives. Understanding the roles and experiences of frontline workers is crucial in understanding how frontline care can be made more "person-centred". Anthea Innes, Suzi Macpherson, Louisa McCabe of the Department of Applied Social Science at the University of Stirling have looked at the barriers to and opportunities for promoting person-centred care for older people, disabled people, and people from minority ethnic groups. These findings outline issues covered in their full report (same title). (RH).
