Annotation | In May 2006, the Assisted Dying for the Terminally Ill Bill, which would legalise Physician-assisted Suicide (PAS) in England and Wales, will receive its second reading in the House of Lords. The Royal College of Psychiatrists has prepared a statement raising their concerns about the Bill and its unintended implications if enacted. The College is deeply concerned about the "likely effects" if the Bill is enacted, and makes its recommendations in the event of this happening. (KJ/RH). |
