Annotation | This conference was jointly organised by Trading Standards North West, GMPA, Cheshire Constabulary Police/Trading Standards Liaison Officer and the North West Police Regional Intelligence Analyst. The purpose of the conference was to bring together all key partners from the North West who have an important role to play in tackling doorstep crime, which disproportionately affects older people especially distraction burglary. David Halpin, NW Regional Consultant from BGOP (Better Government for Older People) was one of the speakers. Several recommendations in respect of developing multi-agency responses to doorstep crime emerged from the conference and these are detailed within this report. (KJ). |
