AnnotationIf enacted, the Bill makes new provision relating to people who lack capacity; and establishes a supreme court of record called the Court of Protection in place the the office of the Supreme Court called by that name. In addition, an officer, to be known as the Public Guardian, will be appointed by the Lord Chancellor. Volume 1 comprises the text of the Draft Bill. Volume 2 comprises two parts: Part One provides an outline of the draft bill and its raison d'etre whilst Part Two provides the explanatory notes and a partial regulatory impact assessment. (RH/KJ).
