Annotation | This "brief guide" to the White Paper, "Our health, our care, our say: a new direction for community services" (Cm 6737) is based on respondents' comments to the consultations following the Green Paper, "Independence, well-being and choice". It covers what is proposed on: mental well-being; easier access to services; bringing care to the community; better information; improving health; care for people with ongoing needs; help for carers; and joined-up care. It concludes with a general round-up, stating that people will be given more say and choice about services received. This document is also available in Braille, audio, large print and in a range of languages. (RH). |
