Annotation | Older people with schizophrenia and their carers have complex medical, psychiatric and social problems, and their care needs have been poorly defined. Guidelines for schizophrenia have resulted in the development of extensive services for patients aged under 65. However, it is only recently that government initiatives have acknowledged the needs of older schizophrenic patients, which the author reviews in this article. (RH)`. |
