Annotation | The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) was created in 2004 by combining the Social Services Inspectorate, the National Care Standards Commission and the Joint Review function of the Social Services Inspectorate and the Audit Commission. The Commission has a statutory duty to report annually on the state of social care services in England. This summary of the Commission's first report to Parliament uses findings from inspections and assessment activity to describe the state of social care in England. Informed throughout by the views of people who use services, the report looks at what is working well and what needs to improve. (KJ/RH). |
