AnnotationA grant from the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) gave the Third Age Trust the opportunity to investigate U3A study and activity groups, especially their methods of learning. This summary comprises tables and bar charts on aspects of U3A activity based on samples of 375 study group co-ordinators, 980 group leaders and 858 group members. The 100 different subject titles identified were reduced to 12 subject groupings. (RH).
