AnnotationLittle is known about the policy solutions that will help older people who face multiple disadvantage into work, and so Age Concern suggests the need for regions to examine the supply of jobs, coupled with efforts to tackle age discrimination. This summary of Age Concern's response to the New Deal consultation outlines the welcome aspects (e.g. absorbing New Deal 50 Plus into the New Deal), but also emphasises the need for fairer treatment overall for older people. The full version of the response to this Consultation can be obtained from Age Concern's website in the policy papers section under "Information and Policy", or on receipt of an SAE at the address given.
