Annotation | Many people with mental health problems have poor quality of life and a limited range of treatment options. A new agenda for community-based services could make a positive difference for people with mental health problems. A researcher at the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) suggests that by moving mental health services into the wider community, walk-in centres could encourage those with mental health problems to talk about their needs and receive appropriate help and support.
