Annotation | Recommendations in the National Service Framework for Older People (NSF) and guidelines from NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) provide the impetus for integrated effective services for older people with falls and fractures. The authors note, however, that there are few "comprehensive, integrated" services for such common and ultimately costly problems, and that clinicians should lobby for change to a "whole system" approach to service provision for older people.
