Annotation | Enabling people who require support to remain at home has now become a major policy area for government. Although independent sector home care workers provide the majority of this support, there has been little research undertaken in this field. This summary outlines the main findings of the full 2004 survey by Bill McClimont and Kim Grove, "Who cares now?" which updates and extends the information in the 2000 survey, "Who cares?" This summary also notes that comparisons with the earlier survey need to be viewed with caution because of differences in the sample of respondents. (KJ/RH). |
