Annotation | Dignity and Older Europeans is a 3-year project (2001-2004) which was funded by the European Commission under the Fifth Framework (Quality of Life) Programme and coordinated by the Department of Geriatric Medicine at Cardiff University, in Wales. The objective of this study was to hold up to 20 focus groups of older people (aged 65+), and to qualitatively analyse the data recorded, in order to understand the meaning older people have of dignity. The report concludes that the needs of older people in France today are not considered enough in ways that enhances their dignity.(RH). |
