Annotation | Telecare is the remote monitoring and delivery of care and support services through information and communication technology (ICT), using sensor systems capable of detecting and/or interpreting changes to a service user's health or environment. This article reports the findings of a telecare (assistive technology) project in Staffordshire run in partnership with Aspire Housing in Newcastle Under Lyme and the Tunstall Group, and which has had a most beneficial impact on the shape and delivery of care and support packages to older people.
