AnnotationPPI Briefing Notes clarify topical issues in pensions policy. The PPI has mapped the proposals made by 17 organisations, including the three main political parties, pensioner, business and employee groups, and others with a major expertise or interest in pensions. While most groups (14 out of 17) agree that the state first tier pension should provide at least £105 a week, there is less consensus on the type of state foundation pension. There is even less detail and agreement on the second state pension (S2P) amd on other elements of the pension system. The PPI Stocktake analysis of pension reform will be updated as new proposals are made, and available on PPI's website (www.pensionspolicyinstitute.org.uk). (RH).
