Annotation | 35 people with dementia were included in this study, following on from a 7-week twice-weekly study of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST). The maintenance CST sessions ran in two residential homes using a once a week programme of CST over an additional 10 weeks. Two control homes did not receive the maintenance intervention. Over the 23 weeks, those receiving maintenance CST continued to show improvements in cognition, whereas cognition declined in both the CST only and the control groups. (RH). |
