Annotation	Papers in this issue of the Journal of Intergenerational Relationships were originally presented at the colloquium, "Enhancing Global Social Changes Through Intergenerational Initiatives" at the University of Pittsburgh in 2003. The colloquium focused on "how intergenerational initiatives could contribute among different groups and cultures". This volume is divided into two sections: the first on intergenerational relationships in the family, the second on such relationships in the community. There is a cluster of papers that address intergenerational concerns in Africa. The multicultural nature of these papers presents strong reasons for taking an intergenerational approach to solving social problems. This issue of the Journal of Intergenerational Relationships has been co-published simultaneously as a monograph by the Haworth Press. (KJ/RH).
