Annotation | Following its research programme on "Transitions after Fifty", the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) has produced a framework to aid discussion of how changes in policy and practice can contribute to sustaining working lives. This is one of five discussion papers available from the Foundation's website, and focuses on employment retention of older workers as part of the framework. Among the ideas discussed are deferred leave or deferring salary (as in some Canadian provinces), and phased retirement. (KJ/RH). |
