Annotation | Tom Kitwood's "Dementia reconsidered: the person comes first" was first published by the Open University Press in 1997. This article considers some possible modifications: first, with regard to Kitwood's idea of "personhood"; and second, to a perhaps more central role of music therapy and music generally in caring for people with dementia.
