Annotation | Section 122 of the US Benefits Improvement and Protection Act 2000 (BIPA) requires that Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) conduct demonstration projects that explore how Medicare might reduce racial and ethnic group disparities in cancer prevention, treatment and outcomes. This book presents systematic reviews on nine demonstrations for projects that considered disparities in cancer in older African Americans, Latinos, Asian Americans, and American Indian / Alaska Native beneficiary populations living in both rural and urban communities, and a project in Guam.
