Annotation | Domestic violence can be physical, psychological, emotional, sexual or financial. This report aims to provide concise guidelines to those those practitioners who work directly with female victims of domestic violence who are from Black and minority ethnic (BME) communities. The role of these specialist practitioners is to provide advice and support to victims and their children to ultimately lead towards violence-free lives. The report draws on the independent evaluation of a number of multi-agency projects which aimed to support female victims of domestic violence and which were funded under the remit of the Home Office's Crime Reduction Programme (CRP) Violence Against Women Initiative (VAWI).
