AnnotationThe life experiences of 44 lesbians resident in Florida and aged between 62 and 82 are described, based on a questionnaire on sexuality sent annually to them by the author. 15 of the women were born between 1917 and 1929, and 29 between 1930 and 1938. The women share their feelings and thoughts on matters ranging from growing up during the Depression and World War II, to the realities of retirement and old age at the height of the gay liberation movement, as well as family and lesbian relationships and the world of work.
