Annotation | Race on the Agenda (ROTA) is a social policy think tank devoted to issues that affect London's black and minority ethnic (BME) communities. This supplement to ROTA's journal, Agenda, is published in the context of the government's proposals to set up a Commission for Equality and Human Rights (CEHR), as outlined in the White Paper "Fairness for all". It reviews evidence relating to BME elders' issues; describes forms of discrimination experienced by BME disabled people; and outlines BME communities' faith issues. It also examines the concerns of BME women's groups, and issues affecting London's BME lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities. (RH). |
