AnnotationThis Citizenship Survey comprises a nationally representative sample of 9,486 people in England and Wales and an additional sample of 4,571 people from minority ethnic groups. This report sets out the findings from the 2003 survey, which considers six key issues related to citizenship: rights and responsibilities, influencing political decisions and institutional trust; perceptions of racial prejudice and discrimination; people's involvement in their neighbourhood; social networks; active community participation; and, family networks. Although not directly comparable to the last citizenship survey of 2001, it focuses on changes in active citizenship between the two surveys. (RH).
