Annotation | The architect Will Alsop, who presents the Channel 4 series Supercities, explains why town planners need to be more creative in the design of living spaces for older people. In many towns, older people feel "disenfranchised" by the poor quality of the built environment. Alsop's starting point is that architects and planners should talk to the people who are going to use buildings, if the objective of making them "age-proof" is to be achieved. (RH). |
