Annotation | This is a paper that precedes the Home Office Older Volunteers Initiative (HOOVI) begun in 1999 which provided £1.476 million funding to 26 projects aimed at improving the number and quality of opportunities for over 50s to volunteer and involve themselves in the community. It is the report of the five Working Groups set up to take government plans forward to create a plan of action which led to the Initiative. This report was presented to the then Minister of State with responsibility for volunteering, Alun Michael. (KJ). |
