AnnotationThe increasing involvement of European Union (EU) social partners in social policy matters, and particularly the area of social inclusion, is the focus of this paper. It draws mainly on research carried out by the Foundation in the area of social inclusion over the past decade. The paper notes some milestones in combatting social exclusion at EU level, notably at the European Council meeting in Nice in December 2000. (RH).
