AnnotationThe National Programme for Improving Mental Health is a key part of the Scottish Executive's health improvement and social justice policy development. The main findings are presented of the second survey, which was commissioned to track progress towards meeting the aims of the National Programme since the first survey in 2002. The survey was carried out by MORI Scotland and conducted among 1,401 adults aged 16+ in Scotland. These research findings outline results on the themes general health and lifestyle; mental health and well-being; experiences of mental health problems; information sources and awareness of mental health issues; attitudes towards mental health problems; and respondents' reactions to mental health scenarios.
