AnnotationThe vast majority of people with a dual sensory impairment are aged over 65, and this article outlines the main causes. The author uses case studies of unmet need, and showing that those whose work is with older sensorily impaired people have had no training in sensory impairment - even though organisations such as RNIB and Sense can provide such training.
