Annotation | The House of Commons Health Committee in its report in 2004 on palliative care (HC 454 2003/04) commented on the lack of palliative care for patients without cancer. In this short article, the authors present evidence to support this claim with regard to patients with dementia, for whom specialised units with outreach and liaison are needed. (RH). |
