AnnotationThese guidelines focus on three key areas in the work of the Task Force: increasing contributions and participation in schemes; risk sharing and flexible scheme design; and raising awareness by communicating with staff about pensions and working with staff representatives and unions. Case studies on 13 employers across different sectors and ranging in size from fewer than 60 to 74,500 staff illustrate their approaches variously to scheme design, the case for pension provision, communication methods used, and partnership. The Task Force carried out a consultation with businesses with fewer than 100 employees, a key finding of which was the lack of confidence in stakeholder pension providers. Annexes to this guide provide a checklist and information sheets as guidance. (RH).
