Annotation | The Montessori philosophy is rooted in the belief that each individual has a gift to give to the world, no matter what their age. The method deals with the whole person approach to care, so this article gives examples of its use in building self-esteem, as a tool for rehabilitation, and in maintaining intellectual acuity. Also outlined are the Montessori principles, creating Montessori materials, and reading as a function of procedural memory. (RH). |
