Annotation | This consultation document (with foreword by Malcolm Wicks, Minister of State for Pensions) presents the Government's strategy for an integrated network of services for older people, to facilitate a single access point for help and services needed when required by older people or their helpers. In developing this approach, the lessons learnt from the Care Direct pilots, which tested models of joining up, will be incorporated. This consultation document invites comments (by 26 November 2004) on the areas in which this approach can be developed, and how existing services can be included e.g. the Single Assessment Process (SAP), and the Supporting People Programme. (KJ/RH). |
