| Annotation | The Act makes provision relating to pensions and financial planning for retirement and provision relating to entitlement to bereavement payments. The Act covers matters concerning: pension protection (and the establishment of a Pension Protection Fund); information relating to an employer's insolvency; fraud protection; reviews, appeals and maladministration; pension scheme funding; and a range of provisions on occupational and personal pension schemes. The Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority (OPRA) and the Pensions Compensation Board will be dissolved, and are to be replaced by the Pensions Regulator.
