Annotation | When older patients, their families and carers have a good understanding of their condition, they are better able to manage their own health and treatment and have a better quality of life. In this short literature review, the author considers how diagnosis should be disclosed, and what should be discussed at stages thereafter. The paper was written on behalf of the InfoPark Collaboration, funded by the European Commission under the Fifth Framework Quality of Life Programme. (RH). |
