Early recognition of dementia - the next stage of awareness | Author(s) | Jill Manthorpe, Steve Iliffe |
Journal title | Journal of Dementia Care, vol 12, no 5, September/October 2004 |

Keywords | Dementia ; Symptoms. |
Annotation | Previous articles by Iliffe et al have discussed collaboration between primary and secondary health care services, and the skill set needed for multidisciplinary working. In the last of this series of three articles, the authors argue that apparent problems in recognising dementia are stages in a process of growing awareness. People with dementia and their supporters now have a key role in developing positive messages that will encourage early recognition of the condition. (RH). |
