AnnotationIn October 2003, the Treasury and the Office of Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) commissioned an independent review of the Supporting People programme from Robson Rhodes. The review was asked to "gauge the true picture" of how funding for the programme was being utilised. This review, coupled with concerns expressed by the Hanover Housing Group, resulted in the Urban Affairs Sub-Committee announcing the Committee's present inquiry. This report includes oral evidence from the National Housing Federation, the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, Derbyshire County Council, Women's Aid, Foundations (the national co-ordinating body for home improvement agencies), Hanover, and the ODPM. The report considers and makes recommendations on the Programme's funding and service delivery. (RH).
