AnnotationThe National Service Framework for Older People (NSF) was launched in March 2001 as part of the NHS Plan. It set, for the first time, national standards for better, fairer and more integrated health and social care services for older people. This report highlights the progress over the last three years and sets out the vision for the future. It includes case studies that illustrate good practice: Blackburn and Darwen 'Up for Owt' Programme; City of Sunderland Intermediate Care Centre; Bradford Teaching Hospitals; and Wirral Older Persons' Champions Network. An accompanying resource document provides further case studies. (RH).
