Annotation | In the last few years, the subject of age and working life has gained an increased profile in public policy. Programmes to encourage extended working life, saving for retirement and continuing lifelong learning have been put in place. This Briefing presents an overview of public policy which needs to be seen as a whole, even though they are the responsibility of different government departments (a chart indicates these responsibilities). This briefing also indicates the roles and responsibilities of a range of locally provided services. (RH). |
