Annotation | These responses relate to the consultation "New vision for adult social care" (Appendix 1), introduced by Stephen Ladyman (Minister at the Department of Health) at the Community Care Live conference on 19th May 2004. Of the 178 responses received by SCIE, most were from people working in the public sector; very few were from service users or carers. In the next round of consultation, more attention should be given to clarifying what outcomes people requiring support want. There also need to be a "public health" whole population approach. (RH). |
