AnnotationThe Care Commission was set up in April 2002 to contribute to improving the quality of care services provided across Scotland. This report presents a range of information collected by the Commission about two groups who use care home services: older people, and children and young people. The information expresses a range of perspectives on the quality of care experienced, in the context of the National Care Standards and the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001. As well as presenting the views of those using care services, the report uses information from inspection reports, complaints made against care services, and enforcement (where legal powers have been used).
