Annotation | Since the implementation of the Care Standards Act 2000, instances have been reported of unsuitable care workers being employed in registered provisions. NAIRO's response to this consultation paper is made in the light of such problems, and comments on: phased implementation of the POVA scheme; NHS and independent health care settings; nurse agencies; and domiciliary care agencies. NAIRO also queries the decision to not to include certain care settings (e.g. day care services and respite care) that consequently do not offer protection to service users. (RH). |
