Annotation	This Act places duties on local authorities and health bodies to inform carers of their rights to assessment, and for there to be co-operation between local authority departments and health bodies in the planning and provision of services required. The Act has the effect of adding to the Carers (Recognition and Services) Act 1995 and the Carers and Disabled Children Act 2000. Explanatory Notes have been produced to assist in the understanding of this Act and are available separately. (RH).
