Annotation | Based on research by the Older Homelessness Development Project (OHDP), this report provides an overview of the services available to older survivors of domestic violence, focusing on provision in north-west England. It looks at barriers to take-up, and provides practical recommendations - with examples - on making services more attractive and accessible to women in the over 50 age group. The report examines Government policies - such as the "No secrets" guidance - and suggests ways in which the guidance could be adopted to help bridge the gap between "elder abuse" and "domestic violence".
