Annotation | Despite the many definitions of "spirituality", there is an increasingly united sense of its importance in dementia care. The author reflects on what religious and spiritual ideas have to offer, and on relations between churches and people with dementia. Organisations such as MHA Care Group (formerly Methodist Homes for the Aged), the Christian Council on Ageing, and the Leveson Centre for Spirituality are variously credited as bringing the relationship between spirituality and dementia to the fore.
