Annotation | In the third part of a series looking at the future of mental health services, the author reports on what is driving policy and legislation and the reactions of key players in the mental health field. Central to current policy are the draft Mental Health Bill and the National Service Framework for Mental Health (NSF). The article also draws attention to the Mental Health Clinical Guidelines commissioned by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and produced by the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health (NCCMH). Meanwhile, Scotland has the Framework for Mental Health Services and the Mental Health Care and Treatment Act 2003. (RH). |
