Annotation | "Adult placement counts: a survey of adult placement schemes in England", by Sylvia Bernard and published by Topss England has highlighted the need for more training and more support for adult placement workers and staff, a forgotten and largely invisible workforce. The survey indicates discrepancies in the distribution of the some 600 adult placement workers supporting some 6,000 adult placement care staff, and providing for 6,500 service users. The role of the National Association of Adult Placement Services (NAAPS) in provision of training and other support is discussed. (RH). |
