Annotation | There is growing pressure for public services to collaborate, as is now happening in health and social care. Multi-agency collaboration makes new demands, requiring agencies to share information in a secure and controlled way, and to implement case management across organisational boundaries. The author examines the Government agenda for multi-agency collaboration, and argues that it is fuelling the logical next step in the development of information technology (IT). Examples include the Single Assessment Process (SAP) and the NHS Care Records Service (NCRS). The author writes in his capacity as a business development manager at Liquidlogic, a supplier of IT systems in this field. (RH). |
